Moncloa takes its name from the local Palace of Moncloa, the residence of the Prime Minister of Spain. There's also the historic Puerta de Hierro, a massive gate that was erected in 1753 at the entrance to the grounds. In addition to the Palace of Moncloa the area is known for Casa de Campo, a vast green space that is home to the Madrid Zoo and the Parque de Attraciones amusement park. The extensive dining scene includes everything from fast food to tapas bars to fine dining. Argüelles's Plaza de España is home to a famous fountain and statue of Don Quixote.
