The Tierno Galván Park is located in the Legazpi neighborhood, between the old Delicias railway station, now the Railway Museum, and the M-30 ring road. The area in which it is located is known as the "Cerro de la Plata" and is one of the largest parks in the city of Madrid with 45 hectares.It has three ponds with their respective walkways, as well as large meadows and wide paths. In this park you will find different tree species and a great diversity of both flora and fauna.It is equipped with two children's areas, sports facilities, a bio-healthy circuit, bike circuits and viewpoints.The park is home to the Madrid Planetarium, an open-air auditorium, the old IMAX cinema, closed in September 2014 and a statue in honour of its creator "Enrique Tierno Galván".
